シリア紛争と文化遺産
The War in Syria and Cultural Heritage

令和8年度文化遺産国際協力拠点交流事業「シリア・アラブ共和国におけるアイン・ダーラ遺跡および収蔵庫の保全支援とコレクションケアに関する人材育成」の一環として、下記のとおり国際シンポジウムを開催いたします。

〈開催趣旨 / Overview〉
2011年3月、アサド政権の強権的な政治に対する抗議運動を契機として始まったシリアの混乱は、政権側と反政府勢力の対立に加え、イスラミック・ステート（IS）や外国勢力の介入によって複雑化し、2024年12月のアサド政権崩壊に至るまで、長期にわたる紛争へと発展しました。この間、人類の歴史と文化を伝えるシリアの貴重な遺跡や文化財は、破壊や略奪などの深刻な危機にさらされてきました。
こうした状況のなか、シリア文化財博物館総局（DGAM）や各地のNGO、さらには紛争以前からシリア各地で考古学調査に携わってきた外国人研究者たちは、文化遺産を守るため、さまざまな活動を続けてきました。
本シンポジウムでは、アサド政権崩壊後の新たな体制のもとで、DGAMがシリアの文化遺産の保護と再生に向けてどのような取り組みを進めているのかを紹介するとともに、日本の研究者によるシリア文化遺産の保全活動について報告します。これらを通じて、シリアの文化遺産の保護と継承に向けた今後の課題を共有し、日本が果たし得る役割と国際協力のあり方について考えます。
